this is katie.
i wish i could convey to blogland how great she is.
i got a text from katie that just made my heart want to burst tonight. while i am not going to share our text-convo's with you all, i will pay a little tribute to why she makes my heart want to burst.
katie graduated from TC this past year, where i lead young life. when you are a leader, you realize quickly (maybe not in all cases) that you are not going to see dramatic life change from every student you connect with.
i knew katie from her freshman year of high school. for a while i didn't think i would see the Lord work in her life (shows how much i know). i just kind of hoped a seed was planted and that the Lord would do His thing in His time. well, He sure did.
Katie's last year of high school blew. me. away.
i can't put words to the change i saw in her life. and the thing is, this had NOTHING to do with me being involved in her life. i love it.
she now attends USC, which i hate because it is so far away, but i love because the Lord has called her there.
katie has to be one of the most genuine, caring people i know. she really grasps the concept of putting people first and loving them. she is also one of the funniest people i know. i really absolutely love being around her.
i guess i don't really have words, but it is just the most amazing thing to see how Christ is showing up in her. seeing firsthand her before and after is probably one of the biggest blessings i've ever received from the Lord.
she is a blessing indeed.
