re-evaluating & a mini celebration

tonight at church the Lord really laid on my heart some of the things I had decided to work on that I haven't made much progress towards. I wrote a new years resolution post back in January and I thought about a lot of things on my way home, and there are a few resolutions that I want to be more pro-active about.

#2 Being intentional with people. I struggle with this a lot because I am definitely an introvert. I don't think that is an excuse though, and I think God is WAY bigger than me. I need to work on this.

#3 Being a woman of prayer. I want to start and end my day in conversation with the Lord. I want to be tied to Him all day and I think that starts with connecting with Him early on. I say conversation, because I pray every morning, but its usually rushed. That needs to change, because it is my most important relationship, and that can't be rushed.

#4 Being bold in the lives of HS students. This is tied pretty closely with #2 above. I need to love them well, and loving them well means being bold and intentional with my time with them and with my encouragement of their walks with Christ.

These 3 resolutions I have definitely fallen short on. I am going to implement #3 more intentionally this week and hope that the rest flows from there.

On a less serious note, Scott & I went to NKY today for a mini b-day celebration. It was really fun. We went to our Mom's house and had a wonderful lunch and one of my favorite desserts...mini cheesecake cupcakes :) Jerry and his sons were there, it was a very fun lunch. For your enjoyment, I will attach a picture of my candles...all placed on 1 cupcake. (I think only 22 fit...2 short)

That is one bright cupcake :)

  3. I think a lot of us struggle with being intentional even though we are extroverts! i was just talking with a friend about how i can hold a conversation with anyone, BUT that does not mean that it was good or pointed them towards Jesus.
love hearing what god is teaching you and where he is taking you! happy birthday!
