day trip:)

So today was great. Shannon is on spring break, so I went up to visit for the day! The day started out as it should, at the coffeeshop for breakfast. Then the adventure began. 

We drove to the levee and walked over the purple people bridge. So fun. And pretty. 

We sat on the Serpentine Wall looking over into Newport. I really love it over there. It's funny you don't notice how great a  city is when you live there. I never went over here when I lived in nky.. I love it now :)

Of course, we took a picture with Cincinnatus.

We found all kinds of treats along the river...

After a wonderful lunch at Skyline Chili, we headed to the Zoo! Can today get any better? Yes. There were tulips ALL OVER the zoo. I love tulips!

One time I tried to give Spike (my turtle) to the zoo. After seeing this pairing, I think it would be a bad idea.

Shannon & I decided that gorillas are terrifying. They looked like they could pounce and kill at any moment.

We found Nala! It was funny watching hearing the kids roar at them. Cute. Kids make the zoo precious.

Shannon loves polar bears.

And...the favorite of the day: Giraffes. How crazy are they? Love it.

It was a good day :)
