Are there 3 more meaningful words?
This weekend I went to Northern Kentucky for Easter. My mom and I went to Crossroads in Cincinnati on Saturday night and it was incredible. They just brought the gospel. I left thinking how I need to hear that everyday. To think that I have the ability to approach the God of the universe and be in relationship with Him because of what Jesus did is amazing.
Today I went to Eden Park and up to Mt. Adams with my mom. It was beautiful and I had the chance to take some pictures. The old church on top of the hill is so beautiful.
On my drive home today I listened to all the old hymns plus a U2 song all on repeat with my windows all the way down. It was really great. There is a line from the U2 song that I love.
"The rule has been disproved, The stone it has been moved, The grain is now a groove, All debts are removed...Oh can't you see what love has done? What it's doing to me?"
I don't know...I guess that this Easter I'm just especially thankful for what He has done. I don't think I've taken the time to slow down and reflect in the past years as much as I have this year.
I'll leave you with some of my favorite lines from songs and scripture or from the services I've been to this weekend :)
"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed, but if it dies it produces many seeds." John 12:24
"O Cross that liftest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee, I lay in dust life's glory dead, and from the ground there blossoms red, life that shall endless be"
"The wonderful cross...bids me come and die and find that I may truly live"
"Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow, no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus"
"Every moment of every day is Easter for those who know Him" -J.W.
