Top Pirating memories

1. The Serenity Deck:
the serenity deck was at the back of the ship, and was just for adults. The lounge chairs were padded, there were giant umbrellas for naps in the shade, and we could just stare at the ocean. We spent a lot of time here, between laying in the sun, and reading at night. It was so wonderful and relaxing.

2. Classic Rock night:
Can I ask for more than a live band covering my favorites? Rod Stewart, The Beatles, John Mellencamp, Fleetwood Mac... Shannon & I just sat and people-watched as we listened to some great music.

3. Country line dancing lessons:
On our day at sea, we noticed that we could go learn a country line dance! Of course we decided to go. Our teacher was one of the cruise dancers, who surprisingly had an English accent. It was great. Now we have a little line dance tucked away for future Nashville trips.

4. The water slide:
On the back of the boat, there was a mini water-park complete with 2 slides. One of those slides was very very tall and twisted like a million times (twice). It felt like a million times...

5.People watching:
Really there are no words. We saw kids drinking the water spouting up from the water-park, kids running around with glass beer bottles to fill them up with water from the pool (kids are just funny in general), people sitting in hot tubs when we've never felt hotter in our lives, some awesome tattoos, un-clothed people standing on their balcony as we were boarding from Nassau, and some awesome dancing by some of the bar regulars.

6. Cupid Shuffle:
Right after the live band played some great oldies, there was a mini deck party. We waited and waited in anticipation of the Cupid Shuffle. Finally it came on. We ran down to the lower deck and taught our new friend Alfred how to do it. He asked if we were 20. He was definitely about 16. We told him that we were about a decade older than him, and that we go to bed at 10:30, you know, to convince him that we were in fact a decade older than him.

7. Being Pirates:
More on this later, but for now...a pirate picture.

8. Meals:
Where do I start? On day 1 we decided to eat all of our meals from the buffet so we could eat outside, but we came to our senses on day 2 and ate in the dining room for dinner. It was amazing. We had a great server named Pande. He gave us all the bread we wanted and some great food. While we liked the indoor meal, we ate all of our breakfasts & lunches on a little patio at the back of the ship looking out on the ocean. Not to mention fresh fruit with every meal. I miss it. Not as good as summer camp though.

9. Frozen Yogurt:
Amazing. That's all. The last day we ate it 4 times. I grabbed one on the way off the ship our last morning.

10. Touch of Class:
I am not kidding when I tell you this. The inside of this ship had to be the tackiest thing I've ever seen. One example of this was the "Touch of Class" lounge. The entrance was 2 giant hands with giant red nails. It was decorated with black and white hands with red nails...everywhere. As for the rest of the ship, neon...everywhere. I don't understand.

11. Wind:
I speak for both of us when I say we've never been hotter in our whole lives. You could cut the air most days with a knife, and the sun felt like it was burning our skin off.
The great part of being on a giant ship, is that it is WINDY. We were so thankful for the wind. I just love wind. One night you could have fallen forward, and the wind almost wouldn't have let you fall. [of course we tried to capture that in photo form]
