so grateful.
I am grateful. Tonight I had dinner with my friend Heather from work. She had taught my chemotherapy classes the last 2 days so we decided to eat after...wonderful idea.
Lets start with the fact that I work with amazing people. My job is such a blessing. I work with people that love the Lord, I work days, and I work with kids who have cancer.
Today in chemo class we were talking about all the different kinds of childhood cancer, and going into some examples that we've seen on the floor. You don't realize how blessed you are until you hear heartbreaking stories, and I already had cancer. It doesn't even compare to what these kids are going through and facing.
One of the stories was so incredibly uplifting, I could have cried right there in class. Without going into detail, there is a family that has been on the unit since I started, and they are amazing. Really. They have so much faith and their child is the sweetest thing ever. Heather told me about them giving their daughter to the Lord, placing her in His hands early on. Her response to treatment is beyond a miracle. The Lord is go obviously moving in their lives, and He is revealing himself to everyone around them in this process.
We just got to talking about how intentional He is in our lives. Looking back on how I got to YL camp in high school (where I first heard the gospel), to all the ways He grew and taught me in between and just seeing how he deals with the details of our lives and cares so much. Heather said she was joking about going to church with our friend Matt one day and told him she'd go if she got called off work, and then she did get called off and her world was completely changed from that point on.
I don't know why I ever worry about anything. He really does know what He is doing in every situation. Even the hard ones.
I just felt overwhelmed with how grateful I was about how He does things, and I think its good to reflect on that every once in a while. (I should every day).
I hope you get a chance to reflect this week on how He has moved in your life. I would love to hear about it :)
